2027.1 enrolment now open

Walk into every CCE station knowing what fellowship standard looks like.

CCE Complete pairs a full bank of fellowship-standard practice stations with a weekly live clinic. Every station is played out in full and then marked in front of you, so the standard stops being a mystery and starts being something you can rehearse.

2027.1 enrolment is now open for the CCE expected in June 2027. Independent preparation for the RACGP Clinical Competency Exam; not affiliated with or endorsed by the RACGP.

The teaching model

See the station. See the standard. See exactly how it's marked.

Each station is taught in three layers: decode what the case is really testing, watch a Fellowship-standard performance from start to finish, then see exactly how that performance maps to the marking grid.

1

Decode the brief

A focused briefing on what the case is really testing, what each task is asking for, and what you need to recognise before the timer starts.

2

Watch Fellowship standard in full

A complete consultation or case discussion from start to finish, with the structure, clinical reasoning, communication, management and safety-netting made visible.

3

See exactly how it's marked

The marking grid is worked through against the performance you have just watched, with the key scoring moments, common traps and borderline responses made explicit.

Inside a station

What "marked in front of you" teaches

Most stations turn on whether you recognise the real task. Edmund arrives expecting a signature. A borderline response treats the form as a formality. Fellowship standard recognises a fitness-to-drive assessment before the form is touched.

The marking walkthrough then shows where the marks actually sit: the focused driving history, relevant examination findings, the Austroads framework, difficult communication, and a plan that protects Edmund, Nora and the public.

Routine request reframed.A licence form becomes a clinical assessment, not a signature.
Risk uncovered.Near-misses, getting lost, reduced vision and sedating medication emerge only because the right questions are asked.
Two duties held together. The candidate protects public safety without abandoning Edmund or the wife who depends on him.

You see this for every station, so the pattern becomes something you recognise in the room, not just on paper.

Clinical encounter

Fitness to drive

15:00

Patient

"Morning, doctor. I've just brought my form for the licence, if you wouldn't mind signing it. I won't take up much of your time."

Borderline
"Of course. Let me check your blood pressure and eyesight, then I can sign it for you."
Fellowship standard
"Before I complete the form, I'd like to understand how things have been going for you on the road. Tell me about your driving over the last few months."

Patient

"Mostly fine, I'd say. Though there have been a couple of times at intersections where I only noticed another car when it was already quite close."

One response signs a form. The other starts an assessment.

See exactly what a CCE Complete station includes, from the focused pre-station briefing, through a full Fellowship-standard consultation, to the detailed marking walkthrough.

Approximately 21 minutes. One complete station, exactly as delivered inside the course.

How the station demonstrations are created: Each station is purpose-built as a complete CCE teaching simulation, with a carefully structured case, candidate performance and marking walkthrough. The patient role is delivered by an AI-generated simulated patient, allowing the consultation to follow the case consistently and demonstrate the intended clinical and communication challenges. Every station is reviewed by Dr Brian Stewart before release for clinical accuracy, consultation structure, Fellowship-standard performance and teaching value. Live coaching is delivered personally by Dr Brian Stewart each week.

250+

complete CCE stations, worked from brief to marking

More than 100 hours of structured CCE preparation.

These are not simply case prompts. Each station takes you through the candidate material, a focused briefing, a complete Fellowship-standard roleplay or case discussion, and a detailed marking walkthrough showing exactly what scored, what did not, and why.

With 250+ station videos averaging approximately 25 minutes each, the library spans the breadth of the syllabus across ten themed tranches. Dr Stewart's figures

Across the breadth of the CCE.

The station library is designed to expose you repeatedly to the clinical presentations, consultation challenges and decision-making patterns that recur across the CCE, with enough variation to practise the same core competencies in very different contexts.

Mental health & adolescent care
Women's & men's health
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander health
Aged care & multimorbidity

More than a case bank.

A case bank gives you cases to practise. CCE Complete shows you the standard: complete worked stations, Fellowship-standard performance, detailed marking walkthroughs, and live coaching to help you reproduce it yourself.

The aim isn't simply to give you more cases. It's to make Fellowship standard visible, repeatedly, until you can reproduce it yourself.

Exam format

Two formats. One standard.

The exam runs nine cases over two days on Zoom, fifteen minutes each, in two formats. CCE Complete is built to mirror both, and to make the standard visible in each. More on the exam format.

Clinical encounter

You consult a role-player for fifteen minutes

An examiner watches you open the consultation, draw out what the patient is really worried about, take a structured history, explain in plain language, agree a plan, and safety-net properly.

  • Full simulated consultations with a role-played patient
  • The hidden agenda is there to be found, or missed
  • Consultation craft made explicit and repeatable
Case discussion

You reason aloud through structured questions

You are given a written case and record, and an examiner asks three or four questions. This format tests whether you can define the problem, rank a differential, justify investigations, and manage safely.

  • Every examiner question played out, timed as in the exam
  • Problem definitions and ranked differentials modelled, not described
  • Management justified against the specific patient

In the exam, each competency you are assessed on is rated on a four-point scale. Every CCE Complete station is marked in front of you on the same kind of grid, so you learn to see your own consultation the way it will be scored.

The live clinic

Twenty weeks of live coaching. One skill, two contexts, every week.

The station library shows you what Fellowship standard looks like. The live clinic is where you practise producing it yourself, with feedback in real time.

Each week focuses on one transferable CCE skill. You first see how it works, then two candidates apply that same skill in two different clinical contexts while being coached against the marking grid. The rest of the cohort scores along, so every attempt becomes a worked learning exercise for everyone.

Asynchronous review can tell you what happened after a station is over. Live coaching lets you see where a consultation starts to drift, how to correct it, and how the same skill needs to adapt in a different clinical context.

Across twenty weeks, the clinic builds from consultation and communication through diagnostic reasoning and management, then into uncertainty, cultural safety, professionalism and integrating everything under exam conditions.

Live coaching runs every Monday at 8:00 pm Sydney time from 18 January to 31 May 2027. Each clinic runs for approximately 90 minutes and is recorded, so if you miss a week, you can catch up in full.

More about the live clinic

Inside each live clinic

  1. 30 minTeach and demonstrate. One transferable CCE skill, broken down and shown in practice.
  2. 22 minContext one, live. A candidate applies the skill in the first case, followed by coaching against the marking grid.
  3. 7 minBreak.
  4. 22 minContext two, live. A second candidate applies the same skill in a different clinical setting.
  5. 6 minCompare and consolidate. See what transferred, what changed, and why.
  6. 3 minNext step. The following week's skill and a focused practice task.

30 + 22 + 7 + 22 + 6 + 3 = 90 minutes.

The expensive attempt is the second one.

$2,497 is not a small amount to spend on exam preparation. It makes sense to weigh that against what another CCE attempt would involve.

A second CCE fee, currently $5,866

The RACGP lists the 2026.2 CCE fee at AUD $5,866. The 2027.1 CCE fee has not yet been published and may differ. A repeat attempt means paying the applicable examination fee again, before considering another preparation cycle and delayed Fellowship. Dr Stewart's figure Dates and fees

Months of delay

A failed attempt pushes back fellowship, and with it independent practice and everything fellowship opens up for your career and your income.

Another preparation cycle

Repeating the CCE means returning to preparation again: more cases, more practice and more time spent getting ready for another sitting.

CCE Complete is built to make your first attempt your only one: you rehearse the standard until it's yours, with feedback every week, before it counts.

Built around how candidates actually fall short.

The same handful of failure patterns show up in candidates year after year. Every CCE Complete station is engineered so that a candidate at the standard avoids them and a borderline candidate walks into them, which is exactly what makes the marking walkthroughs useful. Read each pattern.

The scattergun history

Questions without a hypothesis behind them, covering ground but never narrowing it.

Doctor-centred consulting

Running your own agenda and never discovering the reason the patient actually came.

Cultural safety by rote

Set phrases in place of this patient's context, community and preferences.

Premature closure

Anchoring early and leaving the cannot-miss diagnosis unexamined.

Generic management

A plan that could be handed to anyone, and so fits no one in particular.

Safety-netting that isn't

"Come back if it gets worse" in place of named symptoms, a named pathway and a named review.

Dr Brian Stewart, GP and CCE educator

Created by a practising GP and experienced clinical examiner.

Dr Brian Stewart is a practising GP and Fellow of the RACGP with thirteen years' experience in general practice. He sat the written fellowship exams and scored Band P4 in both the AKT and the KFP in the same sitting, placing in the top 1.8 percent nationally in the KFP. Dr Stewart's statement

Before Australia he lectured in medicine at NUI Galway and served as a clinical examiner for the Irish Medical Council, designing and assessing clinical examinations for thousands of candidates. CCE Complete is built on that experience of how clinical exams are constructed and marked, and of what separates a pass from a near miss.

Questions people ask before enrolling

Is it worth the money?

Weigh it against another exam fee, another preparation cycle and the months of work involved in repeating the CCE. CCE Complete is designed to give you structured practice, worked examples and weekly feedback before your sitting.

How much time does it take each week?

The live clinic is ninety minutes a week, and it's recorded if you can't make it. Beyond that you choose your pace through the station bank. Most candidates work through a few stations a week alongside clinical work, increasing as the exam approaches.

Is CCE Complete affiliated with the RACGP?

No. CCE Complete is an independent course. The names RACGP, FRACGP and CCE are used only to identify the exam it prepares you for. The College does not endorse, review or contribute to this course, and nothing here reproduces official College material.

Do I need to have passed the AKT and KFP first?

To sit the CCE you need to have passed the written exams. You can start CCE Complete whenever suits your timeline, but it assumes you already have the clinical knowledge the written exams test and focuses on consultation performance.

How are the station videos produced?

Each station is designed as a complete teaching simulation rather than simply a case prompt. You see the candidate material, focused briefing, full consultation or case discussion, and detailed marking walkthrough.

The patient role is performed by an AI-generated simulated patient, allowing the scenario to be delivered consistently as designed. Every station is reviewed by Dr Brian Stewart before release for clinical accuracy, consultation structure, Fellowship-standard performance and teaching value.

The weekly live clinic is different: it is conducted live and interactively with Dr Brian Stewart and the cohort, with candidates practising skills and receiving feedback in real time.

What if I miss a live session?

Every session is recorded and available to enrolled members, so a missed week is a watched week. Volunteer attempts are recorded only with the volunteer's consent.

How long do I have access?

Access runs from enrolment until the 2027.1 CCE exam period has concluded. CCE Complete is sold by exam cycle rather than as lifetime access, so enrol in the cohort for the exam you're actually sitting.

I'm sitting a later cycle. Should I still enrol now?

No. Enrol for the cycle you're actually sitting. The 2027.1 cohort is open now, with twenty weekly live clinics running every Monday at 8:00 pm Sydney time from 18 January to 31 May 2027, ahead of the CCE expected in June 2027. The 2027.2 cohort is planned to open in July 2027; join the waitlist and we'll let you know when enrolment opens.

What is the refund policy?

CCE Complete does not offer refunds simply because you change your mind, decide not to sit the exam, or select the wrong exam cycle. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law. Full refund and remedy terms are set out in the Terms of Enrolment before purchase.
